Hi All,
Has anyone used the chemical guys detail kit. The specific one im thinking of is HOL169 which bring all the exterior products and Im also looking at their leather cleaner and conditioner. Any thoughts on these products?

Chemical Guys is ok - not great. Check out detailedimage.com for some professional level products. They also have a good guide on detailing.

I like the Chemical Guys Hex Logic foam pads for my cleaning, waxing, compounding, polishing etc, with my DA polisher.
I use other products for detailing. As far as leather goes, remember the "leather" in our S2000s (and almost all Japanese cars) is really a plastic impregnated leather. Plus our seats have vinyl trim made to look like leather but it is not. Real leather is found in high end European cars. That being said, I have used a variety of leather products not just on cars but my other leather goods too. I have settled on one brand of cleaner and dressing. The cleaner is a concentrate and the dressing is to be left on overnight and then wiped down. I have been very pleased with this stuff on everything leather. My Mercedes seats have been well taken care of. Leather Honey Cleaner and Conditioner. You can get it on Amazon, of course.
I tend to use Voodoo Lounge Leather Conditioner for the S as my wife likes the smell and it seems to work on plastic leather. The Honey Cleaner works well for cleaning the S too.
My bolsters are in good shape because I do not get in or out like a normal car. I sit down in the seat 90 degrees off and then rotate my ass to the seated position. Never touch or rub the bolster. Reverse to get out.

I have their Hex logic pads, pad cleaner and brush. I have been happy with that stuff. I already had a few waxes and polishes from Griots so have not ordered anything else from CG as of yet.

I use a lot of Chemical Guys products and they work well enough on a budget. No complaints here. I have a full detailing kit with a power washer, foam cannon, undercarriage cleaner, brushes, extractor, rotary drill brushes, the works. I am pretty picky about having the cleanest car around and it is such a satisfying hobby. Much more so when I clean for a family member or friend who doesn’t pay attention to upkeep.
I am going to try Detail Geek products this summer. His videos are very satisfying and well done. I learned a lot that way.
