Care of Satin Black?

Care of Satin Black?
I have just had my car sprayed with House of Kolor Hot Rod Flatz, Hot Rod Black. It was cleared with the same.
CSI would love my satin finish! People love to touch the car now. I can tell exactly where too.
Just looking for some ideas for taking care of it. I have seen mixed remarks on whether I can wax it or not. I do not want the car glossy.
Anyone with experience on this?
Thanks.

There have been a few threads on this subject the last few months. I think the conclusion was that basically you're f-ed.
You can wash the car but you can't polish it to remove scratches or wax/seal the paint because either of those things will make the paint glossy. Washing should get rid of the finger print issue, but with no protection on the paint the clear coat will fail much faster.

I don't know why people think wax is what makes a car shine.... it isn't. Does your clearcoat contain pigment or is it just a satin like clear?
This is probably a question for your painter.

The clear has no pigment. Same finish as the paint.
This is the first car in Korea with this paint job. These guys paint lambos and ferraris but nothing like this in the whole country. The painter couldn't find another painter who had done it before. Plus, he only speaks Korean
Meguars site has some mixed info about how much shine I people have gotten with waxing a satin or matte car. I might just try it on the wheels first to see what happens. The wheels were matched with the same paint and clear.
Thanks.

I guess this will just have to be another thing we disagree on.

here is the real answer: you can wax a bb/cc matte black paint job like you could with any other car, the cc has dulling agent already in it, it will not be shinny as straight cut cc.
you can wax it with the best wax and you'll at best adding 5% of the shine.
dont be mistaken they dont need wax, they do

A SMALL percentage like iam7head says. If I properly polish my car and put a wax on only some panels, I guarantee you won't pick them correctly.
No if you take a rusted out hood or someone that never polishes their car and put an oil laden caranuaba wax on it will it make difference. But that's like rubbing McDonald's fry grease on a paper bag.
