carbon fiber repair
its only been about a month that i've noticed the hazing and fading of my cf hood. it seems to get worse and worse as the days go by!
i know there are tons of threads out there on this issue but i'm having a hard time finding the specific answers...
towards the beginning of hte month, the hazing is only apparent on the passenger side. as the days go by, the fading and hazing moves towards the driver's side! now..the entire hood looks hideous.
i've been waxing and using the clay bar on a regular basis and still, no improvement.
i've heard that people with the same problem have had their hoods sanded down and then recleared. for those of you who have had it done, how much would it cost and how have your results turned out?
i want to go the cheapest way possible. is there a polish i can use to at least get rid of the haze?
lmk
thanks,
RICHARD

never heard of this problem...
what brand of hood do you have?
i wonder if you are overclaying it- or using a bad clay
should be coupla times a year or so... with a good detailers clay
which clay are you using, and
what wax?

This happens with a lot of the cheap hoods. They start to fade and will haze and/or yellow.
If it is on the surface, I guess you could try sanding it down and trying to polish it back. If it is iunder the clearcoat then yeah, I don't know what to tell ya.
