Car Washing Tent
Hey guys. As silly of a request as this may be, I'd like to know if there's anything out there. Essentially, the front of my house where I wash my cars is pounded with sunlight from basically 8 AM to 8 PM every single day. No trees, no shade. Both of my cars are black and the paint gets so hot that the water and soap dries almost immediately. If I use quick detailing as a final drying step, it literally smokes off of the horizontal panels (hood, trunk).
It's difficult to get up at 7 AM to wash the car because of other obligations so I wanted to see if there was a tent option that's easily put up and taken down so I can at least keep the cars out of the sun until they're done being dried. Has anyone had experience with these?

I use a 10x12 tent to add onto the shade of my carport that I wash cars in. I only do this because the sun will be angled so it comes into the carport after 3pm.
I'm not sure of what you can use, but it'll have to be big if you plan on spending a day underneath it. IMHO You'd be better off just going to a car wash to save yourself the hassle.

I was looking into a 10x12 for a little extra length. I'm assuming that something slightly bigger could handle more angles from the sun. A quick Google searched shows the S is about 13.5 ft long (162.2 inches). Maybe that'll give us a better idea. Let me know what you're looking at.

I use Optima no-rinse car wash for cars exposed to the sun in my detailing business. You add a cap full of Optima to a bucket of water then fill another bucket with water only. Soak a microfiber towel in the Optima then apply to one panel at a time. Dry the panel with a waffle weave microfiber towel which quickly absorbs the solution before it can dry. Rinse the MF towel in the clean bucket of water to remove any accumulated dirt then wash the next panel. I have a pop in grid in mine to agitate the towel to better remove any dirt. The Optima, waffle weave towel and wash buckets/grid are available at www.detailingimage.com. On very dirty cars I wash using the standard method to get rid of the worst dirt then follow up using the Optima method. The Optima no-rinse process is quick and effective.
