Car was keyed. Repaint with clearcoat only?
Hello everyone. Recently i walked out to my car to see that there were two scratches on the rear and front fender. It looked like these scratches were done intentionally.
The keyed marks aren't deep enough that it passed the basecoat but it did go below the clearcoat for sure so buffing it with polish won't do. So should i just buy a clearcoat pen and fill in the crack and then buff it out with a rubbing compound? Or would it be a wiser decision to just get it repainted at an auto body shop? thanks for the help.

I'm waiting for the temperature to come up a bit before starting to fix some chips. This post had a lot of detail in one place:

Only change is that I'm going to try to mask it off, and impact as small an area as possible.
On applying paint: toothpicks.
And, I'll be using my son's '91 Accord as a guinea pig for all this first.
