Car Got Hit and Scratched Up What to do?
While backing out of the driveway my girlfriend swiped the side of my S. Got a good deep scratch on my driver mirror (too deep to fix). And scuffed up all down my driver door and door handle. What would be a good way to try and make the best out of this. I can't be mad cause she was in tears telling me she hit my car . I 'll get pix up when I get back to my house.

1. depends on whether you want to keep her or not!!
(sounds like you do- if so, you might send her flowers to let her know that you understand it was a mistake)- pretty sure she wont do this again!
2. once you get past #1, the detailers first step is inspection
3. dents are not user-friendly, and neither are scratches that are down to metal. if the scratches are only in the paint you can probably fix them
waiting for pics, but you will likely need a few different levels of polishes and a porter cable for the repair.
i await your pics and any advice others might have

Chances are you may need to go to a body shop as well. If any of the scratches are down to the metal you'll need fresh paint. Also, detailing can't fix dents. So, if there's even one deep scratch on the panel don't bother with detailing it as the entire panel will be repainted.
Of course pictures would be a big help as you already know.

Well thx so far... I cleaned up the area and it really isn't bad. No dents, 1 Big scratch on the mirror thats down past the paint. As far as the door goes there is one scratch that could be polished out and some very light scratchs that could prolly get off with a buff. i don't own a PC so I might take it to a detail shop to get polished. Sorry no pix yet just havn't had time to take them with work and all.
