If you do need to polish the glass Eastwood sells a complete kit with powder (to make a slurry), a pad-on-drill-adapter, and instructions.

Well today I bought a clay bar and tried that out on the windows as well as the body. It worked amazing on the paint! I've never felt anything that smooth that wasn't waxed . It didn't help on the window water spots though. I guess I'll have to go hardcore on them and get some glass polish.

Thanks for all your help

Save your self some money and paint polish that you might already have will work just fine! Even better, paint cleaner .

Would scratch-x work ok on the windows and rearview mirrors? Cause I've got some of that lying around.

All Scratch X is.... just more abrasive cleaner then the other cleaners on the shelf. It will do just fine.

Is there a certain way I should do it or does it not matter. If it has abrasives in it I'd be worried about fogging up my mirrors/windows with small scratches.

NO WAY< It won't do that. Ive used polishing compound and it didn't come no where near fogging anything up. You will be just fine... JUST DO IT ALREADY. lol

Just make sure you don't get any product on rubber or plastic. When applying the product it was designed to be broken down so put some elbow grease in to it and passion behind you rubbing the window.

Also make sure that the window is REALLY clean to prevent draging small dirt particles around and scratching your windshield.

Also great thing is that after that your window should be silky smooth as if it's brand new, rain will bead again and at high speeds will run off as if you have sealant/rain X on your windshield. Wipers work much better!

Good luck, I do it with every car that I detail and people tell me how much better it is.
