Can this be removed by polish/buffing?

getting rid of those swirls would be one of my top priorities. Man I was anal about it on my white car I dont know what i would do on a black car lol.

Did your swirls multiply if not quadruple after you got the car back from the body shop? lol

But here is what you need to do, Wet sand 2000 grit.... then buff it back to clear with compound. Don't sand too much, best thing you can do now is just to round off the edges, I guarantee you it'll look much better.

Thanks, I'm taking it to the detailer tomorrow, he said he'll try wet sanding it. Hopefully it won't be as noticeable and THE SWIRLS WILL BE GONE.

you should be able to remove some of it I don't think all of it though (the scratch) and you will feel much better when all the swirls are removed.
