Default Buying a s2k soon, plastic window or glass?

I really want a '02 for the rear glass, but I'd like to hear your comments on a well maintained rear plastic window. After polishing with the Meguiars kit, does it look like new? Almost crystal clear?

Figure I would save a few bucks and put it towards some TE37s or GT-Us

Go with G-L-A-S-S!!! I regret buying an 01 for that reason alone. The plastic one gets deep scratches when the top is put down because it rubs against the plastic roof well. I've heard you can swith plastic to glass though with a new top. Good luck.

Oh, I guess I didn't entireley answer your question, I used Meguiar's Plastix to clean mine, it helps a little but not much difference.

I had an MY00 (plastic screen) and mow an MY05 (glass screen). I have to say that I like the idea of the glass the most as you don't have to worry about it, creasing, clouding, scratching or cracking. The difference in rear outlook is very much redused by the Glass screen though. I used www.hindsight.uk.com and it was great at 4 years old my screen was near perfect. I would say go glass if you can

i like the idea of glass too... but it does depend on how the plastic is maintained-
mine does look brand new (it gets plexused and lives on a mat with a cloth on the other side of it under the boot most of the time), so it is possible to find them in mint condition.

If your planning on keeping the S2K for a long time I'd say get the glass.
