Bug Problem - How to remove stubborn bugs?
I have some bugs on my front-end which I cannot seem to remove (note that I did allow these bugs to 'sit' on the front-end for a number of weeks between washings). My car has approx. 6 coats of zaino which I thought would make the bug guts easy to remove but it is not the case.
I have tried the following:
1) Zaino Z-7, diluted & straight from the bottle
2) WD-40
3) Gunk Bug & Tar remover
4) Clay Bar
5) Placing a wet towel over them to soften them up
Any other products or cleaning methods I should consider. I want to get a fresh coat of Zaino on before I cover up for the winter.
Thanks in advance.

you need a good polish since the bugs sat there for awhile. old bugs actually become like paint remover and can damage your paint. for the future, always remove them as soon as possible (you figured this out by now!).
menzerna makes some nice polishes... usually you would start with the most mild polish and if it doesnt work you would go more severe. in your case (since you ahve already tried several steps) you might just go with a more aggressive product such as menzerna intensive polish(actually a moderate polish):

Want the magic solution to your problem?
Bounce fabric softener dryer sheets - please don't ask me why exactly it works but it does, and doesn't harm the paint whatsoever.
After watering down the car and maybe running your soapy sponge/mitt over the front first quickly dip the dryer sheet in the soap bucket then wipe the bugs away.

I saw the Bounce tip in another post but didn't think much of it. I will hit the grocery store for some Bounce sheets.
If that doesn't work, it looks like I'll go with the polishes wanabe and s2ksimon suggested.
Thanks,
Michael

One of the things I used to use when I lived in FL (lots of love bugs and mosquitos) was to pour warm coca-cola over the spots, let it set for a minute or two and then wipe them all away and of course, rinse off the sugar residue. It never hurt the paint and I did this pretty much every day for three years while I worked delivering pizza's for a living. Good luck.
