I tried 6 searches on variations on this subject and only got SQL errors so I hope this is not an old subject.

I have a 3 month old S-2000 and there are brown flecks of color showing through the black on the driver's side of my soft top. I put 303 on it right after buying the car and have repeated the treatment twice. Just in the last two weeks brown patches are showing through the black color. The brown appears to be leaching out of the top because it is also staining the inside of the driver's door.

Is this something that happens frequently or should I show it to the dealer? I don't think anything has been spilled on the driver's side, I keep the car garaged or parked at work.

pics would help.. never heard of such discolouring..

maybe some chemicals are reacting causing it..

back to the dealer i would go

tim - i havent ever heard of this either...
as simon suggested, pics might help-
scrubbing with a brush (and car shampoo) doesnt get them out?

Thanks guys. I am going to scrub it this weekend and put some more 303 on it. I will post some pics when I figure out how to do it (haven't read the forum rules on pics yet).

Just a followup on my original post--I washed the top to no avail but re-applying 303 did the trick--all black now. I am not sure what caused the brown stain and it had only been about 3 weeks since my last 303 application. In any case I am happy and did not need to complain to the dealer.
