Brand new fresh 07 Berlina with swirl marks?
I bought my 07 brand new w/ the plastics still on the exterior. I requested my vehicle not to be washed, but when I got it, they had removed the plastics and I noticed LIGHT MINIOR swirls on it under direct sunlight. Is this normal?

ninjay2-
welcome to the board and the car!!
incredible... you did exactly the right thing and still couldnt get a car without swirls. i have to say that honda dealers get an "f" in ability to handle cars!!
when the swirls bother you enough to remove them, first step is some reading- we have lots at the top of our board in the "how tos" section. spend some time there and then post back questions...
we will help you get it back to better than new- polishing (swirl removal) is the most difficult detailers process.
----
might as well post up my secret recipe:
you can also post up in your local area forum that you need someone with a machine and the know how to help you remove swirls... you provide refreshments and the polish (they can tell you what they like)-
and a polish that i like for new black cars (its a very light polish, also has some glaze- so it does some filling also) is:

(you will never guess whose car that is in the ad!!)

Yes.
They could have washed it or it could have happened in shipping or when they removed the plastic. It's normal.

It's really up to the individual dealer. Since all dealerships are independently owned & operated, some are better than others. When I picked up my new S from the dealer two days ago, I requested they keep ALL the plastic wrap on AND not to wash ANYTHING. They agreed to my "strange" request, and that certainly helped on my 225mi+ drive back home! No swirls whatsoever on my unit.
