Default Brake dust stains on wheels, how to remove?

I hope they aren't permanent.. Is there a way to remove these stains?

I am still using the original rims. I have had no problem removing brake dust using an All Purpose Cleaner (at the moment, I use Meguiar's APC+). I also use Griot's Wheel Cleaner, which works equally well for me.

You might want to try a product like Eagle One Tire and Wheel Cleaner before ordering the Sonax (though I hear it's great stuff), just to see if an OTC product will do the job for you.

I haven't seen it locally around here. The Sonax site doesn't seem to list US retailers but a Google shopping search will yield some options for you.

Can these be used on any finish on rims? I'm going to clean up my white Regas but afraid it will damage the finish.
