wow.. eagle did not work.. yikes, I'm afraid it may have to resort to acid base.. and yes.. be sure to do test spots for sure.. i'd recommend, put the car up on jack stands , remove one wheel at a time and do it that way ?

I have the same problem with my hawk blues. Not only are my wheels toast, every time I want to really clean my car I have to use a clay bar to pull all the dust and metal pieces away from the paint.
Oh well....... It is a small price to pay for fade free trips to the dragon and Cherohala Skyway.
I consider my OEM wheels to be "gunmetal" now. You just have to look for the silver lining.
