Midnight Sun is a nice wax and appropriately priced, IMHO. It compares nicely with other waxes at this price point. Of course, less expensive carnauba waxes are available and one can debate whether they deliver as good a look as the more expensive waxes. For those of us who own dark-colored S2Ks (mine is black), I think it is well worth investing in a tub like Midnight Sun. My favorite is Victoria Concours Red. I also like S21S 100% and Midnight Sun. CG's 50/50 also receives high praise. But choose just one. Don't waste your money buying different comparably priced waxes. The differences between them are negligible and subtle, and after the first wash they all look the same.

This review was dated July 2010 but a more recent review from DI was written this year. The author thought Midnight sun was a good carnauba wax but argued that it didnt give the finish any more pop then finishing with Blackfire Wet Diamond All Paint Protection alone. He found that the slickness of the finish was compromised using the wax and it is a unnecessary and costly step. I agree as I have used it on quite a few vehicles I have detailed and I could not honestly see any enhancement applying the wax after the protectant and the slickness was compromised. The Wet Diamond is a polymer using cross linked molecules and provides excellent protection with a wet look finish. Just MHO.

Interesting! Have they changed the formula since 2010?

Good question. I honestly dont know. I detailed a 2012 BMW M3 in a royal blue color today using M205 and the Wet Diamond. It came out very nicely and the owner called it "stunning" and he is picky. I dont think the wax would have made any difference but that is just my opinion.
