Default bit of a stubborn problem area

so ive got a work car that i use to take me across the state everyday so i can fix peoples postage meters and other mail-room equip. its an 08 corolla, thats white.

we've had it since dec. 07, and its got about 20k miles on it.

sometime around january (i think) i had to drive on a muddy gravel road, got some mud splashed up on the bottom of the car, directly under the drivers door. i neglected to remove it, and let it sit there and bake on in the sun, only having been washed my 3-4 times since then, until today.

today i set out to get the car looking new again, and i did a good job, except for that spot. no matter what i tried, nothing would even budge at the splattered mud. i scrubbed for at least 20 minutes with my bug scrubber, and had no luck whatsoever.

if you guys have any ideas on how i could get the mud off, that'd be great.

thanks

james

if it comes to that, do you have any degreaser you can stick on it for a little bit?

if not, i'd try some stronger tar remover

you could try simple green full strength. if it does get the mud off, then wash the area right after, so it doesn't sit on the paint. then wax.

good luck and hope this helps.
