Best Wheel Cleaner
I have no problems cleaning my wheels with soap and water to remove brake dust when they're off the car. I also coat them with wheel wax whenever a get a chance. Is there a good spray or cleaner that will easily remove the dust during a casual wash? Also, anything that works well on calipers? I have a set of red Stoptechs that always get covered. I searched and found old results- which is currently the reigning champ?

i use Armor-all wheel cleaner, you just spray it on wait like 30 seconds and take a light brushing to them and they look like they are brand new, it works on tires as well if they are dirty. In short, i think out of the auto store brands i would say its the best.

I doubt any OTC wheel cleaner will do much better than soap and water but what do I know
What I do know is some of the best stuff out there would be p21s wheel gel. hit up board sponsor detailersdomain for it, and some brushes.

Like espelir said, P21S wheel gel, or Sonax wheel cleaner. The good thing about sonax, it changes colors when it starts working! They are both very good products though, and both can be had at detailersdomain.com! Also, a Boars hair brush, along with the Swissvax detail brush, are your best friends when it comes to cleaning wheels and engines! You can also get them from Phil at detailersdomain.com!
Hope this helps!

Chemical guys makes some pretty good wheel cleaner, but I've only tried one of their 3. A 16 oz bottle runs about $15, a gallon of this is less than half the price of p21s.

Haven't had any experience with their diablo wheel gel, or read up on it, but it looks like it has perfect results for what you are interested in

Costs $30 more though. You might want to search through Autopia for results to help you make your decision, many people here swear by p21s, but I am too cheap to buy p21s

I use and commend Griot's Wheel Cleaner. It's less expensive than the P21S. It's gentle on the wheels but gets the job done for me.
I'm about to give up waxing my wheels. It just doesn't seem to be worth all the effort. With the Griot's I just spray, agitate with a brush, and rinse, and the wheels are clean. It takes a lot less time to clean the wheels than it does to wax them.
