best way to eliminate odor from car interior??
i have second car sitting in the garage that i have not used for a while and over that time it's developed some slightly unpleasant odor. i've tried cleaning the whole interior, shampooed the carpet, and wiped down the leather, but the smell keeps returning?? i do not know exactly where this odor is originating from, so i was wondering if anyone has any suggestion as to effectively eliminating odors from the interior of cars??

unfortunately it is probably under the carpet or somewhere that you wont be able to easily get to. if you cant "sniff it out" (find it by smelling everywhere) you might be stuck with removing all carpet and either replacing or, if you can find the source, repairing. if that doesnt get it, the headliner is next.
have you left the car in the sun with the windows open for a couple of days to see if you can get it out that way?
before you do the carpet/headliner removal, i would first try the sun and then a strong odor remover- something like:

Take a plastic container, like a butter tub. Fill it half full or empty (depending on personality) with Pine Sol Fresh Breeze (I think that is the name) scent. Close the car for a couple of days. The Pine Sol seemed to absorb the odor. It turned an odd color with
