My car cover has gathered a bit of dust over its three years. What is the best way to clean it and to dry it?

Is it cotton? I think it is. Is it okay to wash it in a home agitator style washing machine? Is it better to have it washed in a commercial machine or to have it dry cleaned?

Is it okay to dry it in a dryer or should it be air dried on the car?

I apologize in advance if this has been covered too much already.

I bought a used one. It was filthy, covered in oil stains etc...I washed it in a washing machine with some simple green. Let it soak a bit before I ran it.It came out perfect

i have two of them and wash them pretty much per the insturctions...

wash in fantastik (not the small stuffthat you get in the store)- but i would never let it dry on the car (as they suggest). best to use a large commercial washer so you dont burn your home machine up.
i dry it in a dryer on low heat.
