Best materials
Hello,
I recently bought an s2000 I wanted to know what was considered the best products to use for the interior leather/seats, the outside rubber trim seals, tire shine, and protectant for the soft top. Any suggestions are welcome.

Interior. 303 protectant
Seats. Mother's leather protectant
Rubber Seals. Honda ShinEtzu grease
Tires. McKee's Ceramic Tire Shine
Soft Top. 303 (be sure to only mist on and rub in. Too much will leave deposits)
Exterior Paint. Mckee's ceramic coating
I would recommend watching any detailing videos from " Nick Rutters Detailers Garage" for more complete info.

The leather in the car is not really pure leather. It is bonded to plastic material and some of the trim is vinyl. The most important part is sitting and exiting correctly so as not to stress the bolster. Stand 90 degrees to the car and sit down. Rotate around to position. Reverse for exit. Do not put you legs in first and sit down. You will destroy the bolster.
Any quality leather conditioner will work. Avoid cheap stuff like Armor All.
For the top use what the top manufacturers recommend. Ragg Topp for vinyl tops. Our is vinyl although it is made to look like cloth. If you have a Robbins cloth top, use RaggTopp for cloth. 303 is great for many parts in the interior but it will run, especially when wet, on the top. I use 303 on the vinyl side doors and dash.
Shin Etsu is really quality silicone dielectric grease. You can save money by getting 3M grease at auto parts store. A little goes a very long way.
Once I washed in Dawn, finished with clay bar, I used Avalon King for ceramic coating on the paint. I was /am very pleased how it turned out. Easy to apply and I was shocked how well it has held up over the years.
