Berlina+Porter Cable+Zaino=Outstanding
I was tired of swirl marks, so last weekend I used the following procedure:
- Dawn
- Clay
- Dawn
- Porter Cable with 3M Swirl Mark Remover for Dark cars
- Z6
- Z2 + ZFX
- Z6
- Z2 + ZFX
- Z6
- Z2 + ZFX
- Z6
The results were GREAT. No more swirl marks, wet looking finish.
I would make a few suggestions to others considering this:
- Get rid of your cotton towels - I don't care what kind of cotton they are made of, or where they were made. You're going to wind up with swirls. Switch to microfiber.
- ProperAutoCare says to use "two 8 inch lines" of polish with the Porter Cable. That is WAY too much 3M Swirl Mark Remover (don't know about other polishes). Anything bigger than a dime will cause you problems.
- Zaino says to use 4-5 drops of ZFX per ounce of Z2. More is not better - it makes the Z2 set up quicker, so it dries too quickly while you are applying it. It also makes the Z2 in the bottle harder to work with after only a few hours. Use no more than 4 drops/ounce.
- Zaino says (on his web site) that you can dilute Z6 with distilled water. This is a great idea - makes the Z6 easier to work with and it goes farther.
Good luck - the results are worth the effort.
(I would post pictures, but everyone has seen a black S2000)

Ubetit - You are correct on the Z6 / Z7 issue. I have corrected the post. Thanks.
The real reason I didn't get pics was that the wife was out of town and took the camera. I'll get some pics this weekend.
