Auto Glym
Has anybody tried using Auto Glym with a polisher/buffer?
I've emailed them twice now and i'm still waiting on an answer before i take the plunge and buy a machine.

Yeah i'm in the UK and i have 15 different bottles of theirs, just never tried or heard of it being used with a polisher/buffer and the DVD they do just shows it all done by hand.

In short yes you can, apply auto glym products with a machine.
I did my 99vti prelude at autoglym hq in Letchworth with a machine.
Auto Glym, hold a 3 day valeters course, not cheap but very informative. obviosly they only use their products but the methods can be used across any detailing product.
Off the back of the course you will be entitled to purchase their products at trade prices, which in turn will save you a shed load if you are solely using auto glym chemicals. I also use these when detailing customers at weekends.
I used to use auto glym for all my detailing, but last year i moved towards zaino and p21s for the externals, and the results i have been pleased with. Although i have been using the autoglym throughout the winter months purely for speed of application by hand and cost.
I am now looking to test additional products tosee if i can improve the depth and shine on my car.
At the end of the day it is down to each individual to the products they use. Auto Glym is very good if applied correctly, if you want any info PM me.
Good luck
Gavin

Yes I have used SRP and EXP with a Porter Cable 7424. I apply the SRP with a finishing pad on speed 4.Then after wiping it off I apply a micro fiber bonnet and apply the EGP with the PC on speed 3. It works great!!

if you are using all of the autoglym range you can save your self a little time but mixing the SRP and the EGP together.
I have spoken to the my autoglym rep and it can be done but its not something they publisise. I was going to try this later in the year, the split of the mix would be entirly up to you. and the curing time would be a little longer too.
I have used SRP with G3 a compounding chemical. i mixed this 2parts SPR to 1 part G3 results were very good, this was all done by hand, but could have been done by machine.
