This is what TRUE restoration detailing is all about. Why are you flaming the guy?

Some of you like to drop $3k on rims, he likes to drop $3k and 100hrs on detailing. Different strokes..
Good point...but, I have yet to see a thread here about a guy who just bought and mounted a "$3000 set of rims" and describing the experience in the same manner as a p0rnographic novelist would.

And IMO, I think that's what most of us find so hysterical about it...his level of detail, while admirable, is REALLY over the top. Never have I seen somebody so anal about the cleanliness of his car.

Don't get me wrong though...in the end, I'd LOVE to have a guy like that work on any of my cars. While I'm getting a good laugh out of it, I really do admire the guy for his perfectionism and his practically flawless work.

I agree. don't bash the guy. he's a top detailer in the UK and does some very nice work. There is a lot that goes into this line of work. just imagine prepping a car for a concours event. it takes time, dedication and skill.

I have spent 20 hours detailing a CRV before. cut the guy some slack.

Wow! Thats some serious time and effort. It's awesome how he puts that much attention to detail, from the paint to the mods. Thats the type of person I want working on my vehicle.
