Anyone else remove wheel well molding??
Like the title says, I just removed the molding in the rear wheel wells (along the fender) since in past experience this has been the leading cause in Honda Rust!!!
Just curious, thats all!

I dont think we are on the same track wanabe...Im talking about that black strip on the rear quarter panel just above the wheel (IE: where you would roll the fenders to tuck some 19's on a lowered S)
Just that strip of rubber about 1/2" wide...pretty much peels off.

yup, you are right!
i was in the wrong place-
you are discussing the fenderwell trim, and i was thinking about the inner fender (which is in front!)
thx for the clarification...

Semi-OT:
wanabe, do you ever get gunk in the front of your rear tire wheelwells? I cleaned mine for the first time in a while and there was all this black gunk (tar? sap? old tire gel?) in there. If you've seen this... any recommendations on how to clean it? I was thinking about scraping it off as best I can with a rag or brush and then using full strength Simple Green as a solvent.
Seems like it's going to be a real PITA to get them back to 100% clean without risk of overspray on the paint.

best way to fix that prob is to remove the wheels!!!
with the car on jack stands- yup thats a lot of work, but while you have the wheels off, plan on a wheel detail. you wont believe what your wheels look like from the other side- and more importantly, you wont believe how they look after a full wheel detail...
then if its tar on the car, use a tar remover (if you need ideas on this let us know).
