I've used many of the Zymol waxes like . . .
Concours
Vintage
Destiny
Atlantique
While I do agree 100% with Phil that a car needs to be properly polished first and that's 90% of the work. I will say that all the Zymols look a little different. IME other "high dollar" waxes don't match the depth of shine that Zymol has. Some waxes however have a wetter look or are more glossy looking. There are a lot of elements that make up "shine" and different waxes typically excel in different areas.
The differences are subtle though and 95% of the public probably wouldn't be able to tell the different between $2K Zymol Vintage and $6 Mother's Carnauba Gold on a properly polished car.
So, whether it's worth it in the end to try Zymol is really a question only you can answer. I can say that there has been a wave of guys on Autopia lately who have been giving Zymol a try and end up loving it.

MikeyC,
Have you tried Swissvax Concorso and Mystery yet?
I think you would switch if you try it

If there was a 4 oz sample kit I would be interested in that.

I just got off the phone with Swissvax unfortunately no samples right now.
Mikey I still think your next purchase should be Swissvax. I think you will really like it.

I am very intrigued by Swissvax, but I just cannot bring myself to pay that much for wax. What is the general consensus on the prewax lotion that they sell? I can at least afford that...
