Any way to repair damage to clear-coat?
I notice that just above my headlights, there is a spot where a rock has hit and damaged the clear-coat. It does not look like there is any damage to the paint itself (i.e., no paint chip), but it looks like there is a clear plastic film that is broken. I am guessing that this is the clear coat? Is there anything I can do to repair the damage? This is just above the headlights, so I don't know if it is actually metal or plastic underneath. Thanks.

I had one of these on a M/C. If you're any good with a power buffer, try this first. Otherwise, you can put on some clear coat the same way you do with color touch-up and go the wet sand route.
