Default any wackos in the chicagoland area?

I'm looking for a fellow wacko (well, one more experienced than me that has a machine polisher) in the general chicagoland area, who can help me with some contamination that got on my paint.

See this thread for the background:

I was able to remove most of the opaque stuff with Meguiar's ultimate compound, but now something of a translucent "orange peel" remains, which is not as immediately obvious, but is noticeable as light reflects off of it. Taking the after pictures was a bit difficult, as I had to get the overhead light reflection in just the right spot, but the harsh light in an otherwise dim garage makes it look more like a scratch.

I still think it is on the surface, rather than etching down into the clearcoat. Hopefully this can be fixed with a machine polish, though I have no machine. Here are some pictures:

After:

Thanks for your help,
Phil

i'm in metro-detroit as is gasolina, but there should b a few folks closer - post up in the UMW forum and you should be able to find someone to help you. looks like you have some marring from removing the crap off your paint.

additionally, it doesn't seem like u hav an unusual amount of orange peel or anything

I might be heading out to Chicago to follow a friend who wants to buy a M Roadster. I will know sometime next week. If so, I'd be glad to take the BRAND NEW FLEX 3404 and a pad or two... PM me if interested. No promises, but if I'm around and you still need help...
