Looks like your Z3 cut itself during a shave.

has anyone tried the touch123 system on their S? does clay take off the touch123 stuff or does it stick like normal paint?

Post those pics when you get a chance--
Finally, I was able to post the pics. Since I'm not a member, I had to post using relayit.net.

Pics located in the link below:

As mentioned, I have already attempted to buff it out, I can't recall what the brand name of the buffer that I used since it wasn't mine.

It may be possible to buff out, but the paint in the area surrounding the scratch would be thinner.

If it gets thinner do you think it's even worth buffing out or do you recommend just a fill-in?

Also, has anyone tried Billy May's Simoniz? I wonder if it works or just a gimmick:

Go to Wal-Mart and get the KIT brand "Scratch Out" for less than 5 bucks.
You can also find Maguires and 3M products that do the same thing for three times the price.
These products should all be very simular and the cheap stuff should work just as well.

It's hard to tell how much buffing would be required to remove the scratch by looking at the pic. If it's a pretty shallow scratch, then by all means, go ahead and buff it out. If it is deep, then the surrounding paint would be thin and could eventually fail.

Either way, no matter how ya slice it, it would have to be resprayed, so ya have nothing to lose by buffing it out. Chances are that there would be plenty of paint left to last for quite a few years
