Any Long-Term Zaino Worries?
Hi folks,
My new S2000 is here. Can't wait for the weekend to bring it home and to rejoin the ragtop crowd!
I'm interested in the Zaino products that I've read about here in the "wash and wax" forum...
What concerns me is what these bonding chemicals could do to my clearcoat finish over the period of several years. Has anyone experienced any downside which they'd like to share? Anything like peeling or cracking to worry about?
I'm not sure there's enough time behind Zaino for me to be comfortable using it, but I hear the raves loud and clear from other owners.
So, anyone have any major downside to share? Thanks!

It's so quiet in this thread you can hear the crickets outside. No problems here, been using it for almost a year. While that hardly qualifies as long term, I would think we would have heard of any downside of using Zaino by now from people who started using it from way back when.

I'm glad chazmo brought up this topic because I was wondering the same thing. I would like to use Zaino as well, but not knowing long term effects scares me. At least with "normal" waxes, etc.. you know from history what they do/do not do. Any 2-3+ year Zaino users out there??

With the popularity of the Zaino product, if there were any long term ill effects it would certainly be known. I've had my car for 2 years now, and it's had nothing but Zaino from day 1...the car looks better than the day I took delivery of it.
If you want real long term, had a fellow call me the other week who had spent a couple of days detailing his garage queen with another product for a car show, only to be blown away by a similar car with 200,000 miles on it. The 200k car used Zaino.

Rick, Nick, germ79, STreece, MyBad,
Tnx for your thoughts on this. I agree with Rick; the silence is deafening.
This must be some product. I'm in. Goin' to surf zainobros.com now so I can be ready to get going next week.
Can't wait to get my new baby this weekend. Wish me luck!

I used Zaino for over 3 years on a Trans & it always gave a terrific shine, including for my 30th TA special editino blue stripes - never a problem, & now using on my new Suzuka blue; love the stuff!
