Default Another swirl remover question

I'm planning to try the 3M swirl remover soon. My S2000 has a layer of Meguiar's Gold Class Clear Coat Liquid Car Wax, which could be polymer or carnauba. I just don't know.

Before trying the 3M swirl remover, do I need to remove the wax layer? If so, can someone recommend a good and safe product for doing this?

Thanks!

PS: It sure would help if car care companies gave us some clues about what's in their products. This would be especially helpful with a company like Meguiars which makes so many variations of each product type.

The swirl remover, being abrasive, will remove anything that's on the paint. No need to do anything special.
