Default About to Deatill my car

hey, im new to detailling and i was wondering how can i protect my paint and make it shine? i have a PC already and what other products do i need?

albe- do some reading and then post up your questions here...

the basic answer to your q is that polishes bring out the max shine, and wax/ synethetic protectants just protect the shine and give it a bit of depth and wetness.

hey, if i use sealant topped by a layer of wax. how long do i need to wait till i can put on the wax?

That depends on the sealant you want to use. Each one has a different cure time depending on its formula. Some sealant cure in 15 minutes others take 12 hours. It often says on the label.

kinda starting with more advanced questions!!
i smell a badge application in process...


which synthetic are you thinking of? (overnight is best, but not necessary- most are about an hour or so +)- depends also on temp and humidity.
the synthetic cures, then you buff off the haze. and then apply the wax. i usually have at least a couple of coats of synthetic before the wax. and only one wax layer is needed.

honestly I was pretty noobish with detailing. I would definitly read MikeyC's detailing handbook. Its very informative and very detailed.
