I'm going to say....
Someone really liked your car..... ALOT... and they got a little excited, and showed it.... on your car, and then wiped it around, so it wouldn't be as obvious, and now you have it all over your MF towels...
If that isn't it, then I have no clue.

not likely wax...
your detail spray also has wax in it- (btw, how do you like that one?)
were you getting clumps from the spray??
i do not see how you could be getting clumps from the wax on the car- it has cured already

actually not the best way to use a carnauba spray over carnauba until it has cured...
yes, p21s does need to cure- overnight is best for any carnauba.
carnuauba sprays over synthetics is also common, or synthetic sprays over synthetics. synthetics cure quicker than carnaubas-
will be interested in seeing your pics-

interesting..... you might have missed some wax when you did it ffew days ago. I see you have silverstone so might be possible. Or maybe when you you the QD it has a light white residue to it you might have sprayed too much.
But who know post pic or somthing.

Try that ICE by Turtle Wax that stuff is off the hook it doesn't leave a residue and you can use it in the sun.
Also, don't use very hot water when you wash/rinse your ride;that will soften and loosen your wax.

What is the general consensus on water temperature for washing?
I usually use warm water in the wash bucket and cold in the other
bucket that I rinse my mitt off in.

warm is fine as long as its not too warm... and as long as your paint isnt too cold
