303 top dressing is streaking my windows
After it rains I have an oily film over the side and rear windows. Easy enough to clean the side windows, but don't want to use anything harsh on the rear plastic. The Plexus doesn't cut it. It just slides the stuff around. No amount of wiping with clean towels seems to remove it either. Anyone else having this problem? Am I just being too generous with the 303? I wipe the excess off after applying, and only apply every eight weeks or so.

I used too much on my Explorer's exterior trim and the same thing happened. I just washed the car with Dawn in preparation for Zaino, the 303 streaks came off easily. Since I have Zaino on now, any 303 streaks that I get seem to come off when I was the car with Zaino car wash. The Zaino seems to act like Teflon coating making it easy for films to come off, like 303.
I am still perfecting my 303 application. It seems like when you add enough to give a nice a black look, that it is too much. More frequent thinner layers are probably better.

It's hard to apply 303 evenly and not apply a lot. I suggest doing it every month (like the product says, every 3-5 weeks) before some sunny weather. Keep windex wipes in your car until you get the chance to wash your car again. Spray off the worst of the 303, don't use lots of soap. This washing or the next washing will remove enough of the excesss that your windows won't streak as bad.
