if you do want to get leather seats, instead of buying new seats, get the new covers NOT from Mopar. Original leather seats have 2 small pieces of real leather on the entire seat. So, basically, the stock leather seats are really vinyl seats.
I ordered up some leather covers from these guys via ebay. I received them quickly, but have yet to get them installed. They are leather, though, the entire seating surface (and maybe even the sides), and look nice and stock, perfect color matching, and really good construction: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/ALI-Leather-Ca...s__W0QQ_armrsZ1
Or you could source out the ultra-cool overland leather interior with the brown leather, or the SRT-8 grand cherokee Viper inspired seats

they make fake stuff that feels and look like leather that can last longer through wear and tear. They also make fake suede, same shit..
all the exotics these days have fake leather. Mercedes Benz switched over to fake leather years ago, its called "artico". there is no point in buying real leather these days.
