Well you can skip the beer with no problem, the other one, you can figure it out...where this a will there's a way.
There's no handicapped access. I thought the Americans with Disabilities Act was supposed to have taken care of that.

I frequent a chiropractor. In fact, have an appointment in about 20 minutes. But having a Licensed Massage Therapist living next door can be a god send. She charges $40 for a half hour. She likes our family, so the half hour is closer to 45 minutes.

for the everyday aches and pains I suck it up mostly.
I don't consider the baby boomer vitamin, ibuprofen, as a drug.

but when Mary mentioned kidney stones that's a different class of pain.
for that, I want drugs, I want them to be injectable through the IV in my arm and yeah, I wanted them five minutes ago.
Oh and throw in something to knock me on my a$$ so I sleep through most of it.

So Mary which was easier, kidney stones or having kids?

I found that the pain from the kidney stone had the same intensity as a labor contraction...but there was no break from it.

Labor contractions come and go, so you get a brief reprieve from them.
Even if that reprieve is just a minute---it's a minute of 'down time' in which you can (barely) catch your breath.
The pain from a kidney stone is constant. There's no catching your breath.

So my answer would be, for me, having kids was 'slightly' easier.

BTW, when I finally passed my kidney stone the aide said it was big enough to make a Maraca out if it.

So I want to know, how do kidney stones always seem to know when it's a friggin' holiday weekend?

I didn't do anything I don't usually do, no parties or drunken binges to knock it loose.

I'm just awfully glad I wasn't by myself halfway between here and Rochester, NY after dropping my kid at school.

and yes narcotics are your friend.

Are you hurting a lot, Jerry?

What do you do for kidney stones? Are you trying to wait until Tuesday before hitting up your doctor?

Spent yesterday in the ER on an IV drip getting the pain under control.
Came home with drugs. Hopefully this little guy decides he's not welcome anymore and moves on.
I go see urologist tomorrow. So far I've always been fortunate that they didn't require external "help".
Otherwise they go in with a laser probe and break 'em up.
The problem is getting the probe to the stone....

and for the record I do not cry like a little girl, I scream like a full grown man.

^^^Never had a kidney stone (knock on wood), and I hope I never do. I, too, would scream like a grown man!

Hope it passes quickly, Jerry.
