Default Are You Ready For Some Football?

After one of the most interesting off-seasons I can remember (because I'm a Pats fan, of course) and an interesting pre-season, I am now getting ready for the regular season which begins tomorrow!!! I think this will be a very interesting regular season as well.

I have a lot to watch for. Will the Patriots fold after all the disruption and publicity of NFL-gate, or will they systematically destroy their opponents all season long in a campaign of revenge? Will the NFL put a big greasy thumb on the scale of every game by programming the refs to call every single on-field infraction they possible can against the Pats while letting the opponents off with the usual leeway? Will the NFL appeal of judge Berman's excellent decision be a distraction during the regular season? Not to mention the development of some of our rookies and second year players like Flowers and Brown. This is going to be fun.

How about you and your team? Are you excited for the start of the season? What will you be watching out for?

Patriots 2015-2016 record

Game 1. Patriots 28. Steelers 21. W
Game 2. Patriots 40. Buffalo 32. W
Game 3. Patriots 51. Jacksonville 17. W
Game 4. Patriots 30. Cowboys 6. W
Game 5. Patriots 34. Colts 27. W
Game 6. Patriots 30. Jets 23. W
Game 7. Patriots 36. Dolphins 7. W
Game 8. Patriots 27. Redskins 10. W
Game 9. Patriots 27. Giants 26. W
Game 10. Patriots 20. Bills 13. W
Game 11. Patriots 24. Broncos 30. L

I’m from Denver, so of course my team is the Broncos.

This year we have a new head coach and a new defensive coordinator that bring us new hopes. We’ve kept Payton Manning as our first string quarterback. Payton is aging and we’re all concerned about his prowess as a quarterback since he is unable to scramble as he once did. Our offensive line is young and inexperienced; they may not be able to protect him -- we hope so..

If all of our hopes and wishes come true we may become a formidable force this year. A Super Bowl contender …um, maybe.

Bills fan here, once again the schedule maker seems to be favoring the opponents, for example in week 2 the Bills will play the Pats after they have an extra 3 days rest/preparation time. New England plays thursday while the Bills play sunday.

Who is going to be the starting QB, for the Bills? Cassel? Taylor? Big question mark, for a team that should be pretty good this year. I like Rex Ryan. I know the D will be good. Offensive is a problem. I hope McCoy will be healthy the whole season.

My bet is the Packers, Seahawks, Falcons, and Eagles at the end of the season, NFC.

Patriots, Ravens, Colts, Chiefs in AFC.

Can't wait for season to start.

Looks like Taylor will get the nod for week 1, I really like what he has shown in the pre-season, kinda reminds me of Flutie.

Ravens are my team. Receiving corps are a concern. Defense should be ok.

This could be a good season for the Jets. We got rid of Rex Ryan and Gino Smith isn't the starting quarterback. Two improvements already.

Of course, a good season for the Jets, after all these disappointing years, means just getting into the playoffs. It does look like they'll be able to do that (I hope).

Right now it looks like the Mets might win their division. Wouldn't it be nice if the Jets did the same? Lets Go Jets! Lets Go Mets!. To win their division, the Jets have to beat New England, and with Brady back that's a difficult thing to do. But, I'm hopeful. Sometimes miracles do happen.

The Redskins are DC's team, but not mine. I've not been watching them for some time now. They stink and I can't stand Dan Snyder or the location of the stadium. This year seems to be the year of the quarterback controversy - i.e. RGIII. Not sure how that will pan out. And the name is always a controversy. I don't expect great things to happen on the field or off.

Lots of improved teams this year. I think Kubiak will do well back in Denver. And my Houston Texans could have a terrific defense. It will take some faith for fans to feel good about Bill O'Brian's quarterbacks.

And I certainly hope the Patriots do well!! if they can get used to properly inflated balls and egos!! Hahahahaha
