Default For you job hunters out there...

Just a reminder not to give up! I know some of you have posted about your challenging job searches. The +1 has been unhappy with his current sitch and looking to make a move for awhile. He has a great resume, but just wasn't finding the right fit, in spite of going to job fairs, using his contacts, etc. Then, all of a sudden, a couple of weeks ago a company he hadn't even heard of recruited him off of Monster.com (big resume site) for a position they had been trying to fill for a couple of months. Turned out to be a great fit with great benefits. They should be making him an offer he won't refuse shortly. And he has been contacted by a couple of other peeps who have promising leads for him in case this one doesn't pan out. So keep the faith, Y'all!!

Merci, Emil. Hoping for at least a verbal offer this week.

Got the verbal - too low. So he gave him his final number. They didn't say no, so...it ain't over til it's over! Working the other irons just in case.

^Thanks, Maury. One of the other irons is getting ready to pan out, I think. A different job with his current company - located right up the street from the condo! How many peeps can walk to work? Nice. Still no word on whether the first place will accept his salary requirement. No news is good news, right? Timing between the two jobs may become an issue. To be continued...

Me, but my work begins the instant I jump out of the bed in the morning and never stops. +1 can be a slavedriver, but the perks are great. All kidding aside, best wishes to Vito, Ms.P. Meanwhile, I'm on vacation/rest/r&r/sick leave.

Best of luck and keep us posted. Being able to walk to work would certainly be a great perk. Don't forget, I'm paying $7.50 an hour for laborers if Vito is interested.
