Was this woman at the gas station a blonde???

I had always heard that red cars had the higher premium.
I had a red CRX and have a red Accord Coupe so I asked my agent this question - he said no - color doesn't matter.

I don't know about the color thing, as far as insurance premiums, but I know here in MA, vehicles are assigned a "risk" number, and our little S2000s have a high number, which translates to higher premium.

Now, could it be because those who own the yellow ones are always out there trying to prove they are the fastest?

Either way, I have to tell you Catherine and Jim, that if an opportunity presents itself to us to upgrade, we could be seeing yellow too.

Yellow may be fast, but, geez, it's ... well ... yellow. Besides, it's one of those words that just gets absurd when you repeat it a lot, or look at the spelling.

yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow

Sheesh. HPH
Howard the mantra repetition reminds me of Lenny Bruce's routines!

Maybe yellow is for the eyes, not the ears -- it doesn't sound great in any language: gelb, amarillo, jaune, geel, желтеть

20/20 just did a show on myths and this was one of the top ten. The myth was red cars paid more in insurance, not true.

With the black checker board pattern on it, that one reminds me of a taxi cab. A taxi cab, but still a taxi cab.

I know, Lainey, I constantly have to tell people, "No, this is not a cab -- or a school bus -- its a very fast sports car!"
