Default xviper has left the building

I just caught this. Usually I don't pay much attention or get too excited when someone disappears from an electronic forum.

But I will miss xviper. I followed his early posts intently as I began to build my car. I used to have his address and another email for him but I can't find them.

If someone has contact with him, wish him well from me.

BYE XVIPER

Thanks

I was just getting ready to post about this...I don't think many of the members realize how bad it is for them and s2ki. I'm really, really bummed.

I've not been around as long as many of you, but I've seen Xviper's helpful posts many times.

It's too bad.

It's upsetting. I've always enjoyed Dave's sense of humor. This place, like many others, seems to be accumulating many more "e-thugs" lately. One of the reasons I liked this forum was the level of respect that existed here. While it's still here to a degree, I find it's getting more and more difficult to find. I found this site over four years ago, and I think that reading Dave's posts was the single biggest factor that made me want to own this car. I've used so many of his DIYs over the years with great results. I feel like I owe him. Because he was always willing to step up and call bs when he saw it, he took a lot of heat. I appreciate that. Here's a guy who was always willing to help people here. I appreciate that as well.
Dave, I wish the best for you. Thanks so much for everything, especially the laughs!!!

I hope he'll reconsider but I understand if he chooses not to. He's always been very helpful and courteous to me even when I'm sure he must have thought I was retarded.

It's a shame some folks don't understand that helpfulness is a two way street.

He's been a real help to me getting my car ready for winter use. I will miss him too.

He has mentioned in other posts that he was thinking of leaving so this was just the straw that broke the camels back.

I feel he over reacted in this particular incident probably due to his already "frail state" bout S2ki.
