WV Hellbender 2024 - August 16-18
Gateway to the Monongahela National Forest, over 1 million acres of forest and home to great driving. Join us and drive these great roads with old and new friends. We'll be starting from the Sleep Inn in Summersville and driving lots of curvy, up and down roads to Route.250 and Monterey, VA for a leisurely lunch at High's and then we'll return via even more curvy roads. In the evening, conversation (and a few tall-tales), friendship and maybe an adult beverage or two.
The rate for the Sleep Inn Summersville is $116/night plus those unavoidable taxes.
Be sure to ask for the Ken Flower group code to get the special rate.
I'm looking forward to seeing you there August 16. If you want to come early, that rate is good for Thursday as well. A bonus day to enjoy some great roads and really nice people.

Registered for me and Lauren. We will be there on Thursday.
P.S. I just got off of the phone with Anita at the Sleep Inn and there seems to be an issue with the group rate. She told me it was closed!

Ken, that's an 8 hour drive in a real car just to get there and I'd want to do the drives in the MG. In the 90s I drove Rte 250 and several like it on my way to Winston-Salem or maybe it was on the way to Chattanooga. In case, I picked a route that had so many switch-backs I thought my arms were going to drop off with no power steering. It sounds like a great event and as always thanks for the planning. Hope to make another one sooner than later.
