If I had it, I would indeed spend it, in fact I would spend way more than that little 4.75 mil, I would be in the 11 to 13 mil range, because the car Robb saw, is the model I lust for, a '62 to '64 Ferrari 250GTO
Bit of history for you back in the 60's after racing teams were down with their gto's they were just considered old worn out racing cars and nobody wanted them. There were a few cases of raceteams donating their gto's to high school auto shops!

see matt, do your own laundry in the laundromat and you can buy a ferrari too.
The Plant Pixie has "banned" me from going near the wash machine. I guess that is where I went wrong. (doing a mixed load of colors and whites). Although, on the night we met when she asked if I had children? I responded: For what it cost to raise a kid, I could have a Ferrari, and at least with the Ferrari, if I don't like it, I can sell it.

All these years latter, I think that I will hold out for the new NSX.

If he can't enjoy the car on the streets of NYC would he then take it to a track and risk crashing it at 100 mph?

Reminds me of the first and only time I tracked the S and a kid with a new M5 who thought he was a better driver than he was, totaled him Bimmer.

I voted Yes, figuring I would be the only one but I see five others said the same thing. Heck yes, if I had the money I wouldn't hesitate to buy a handful of cars that each cost even more. In fact, I'd say he made a bad choice but it's his money. As for taking it to the track. Yes, that too. I've seen more expensive cars than that racing. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. High money rollers don't sweat the small stuff and for many $5M is small stuff or so I'm told. If you don't believe me, check out the Goodwood races in the UK.
