the 100 dollar lease looked pretty good.
I just wish i was aware of them dumping 2017's earlier in the year.
I would have grabbed one for my eco-minded wife.
I read of 79-89 dollar leases. really hard to beat that.
even if you drive it a few miles your only talking around $2K

To start, they asked for a 14 percent discount from the sticker price and ended up with 13 percent. A bunch of special perks helped pull down the price. Since Piccolo owned a BMW already, he received a $2,000 loyalty credit, and he applied a $500 discount with BMW that was available through his job. Added to that mix were a $7,500 federal EV tax credit, which BMW subtracted from the price; New Jersey's EV tax breaks (eligible even when residents purchase a car elsewhere); $2,000 in cash incentives; and a $1,000 discount for attending a BMW promotional event.
There was a lot of "stacking" of incentives to get there.......

I would lease an electric if I was still commuting, especially if the commute was around 20 or 30 miles each way and if the lease terms were anywhere near that aggressive.

I doubt they're that deeply discounted here in the Bay Area. It's the Prima Don/Donna Tax (Carpool stickers and no gas costs seem to be something people will pay for )

I just received an e=mail from my energy provider offering a deal with BMW for $10K off the i3. This is in addition to the $7500 Federal rebate and the $1700 NY rebate. BMW must be stuck with a big inventory.
