I often use a GPS/Glonass receiver and hook it up to my iPad (just like I did at the airline with FAA approved software/hardware) That is a Bad Elf Pro + Here is a screenshot from a trip I made from Berlin to Mainz. This was an Hertz Audi station wagon with appropriate speed rated tires. Not a P car or MB.
It works great in non cell phone coverage areas I frequently go both in the air and on the ground. Glosnass is the Russian GPS system.

A friend knows this crazy guy who hooked up a device that sounds like a machine gun under his hood. He never has an issue with slow drivers in the left lane. I don’t know if this is legal.

I know some that would buy a competitor T Shirt at the other airline's crew store (United and American) and wear that out on layovers or off time so if you got a little out of hand, everyone would blame the other airline!
