Default The Worlds Finest Engineering

In a couple hours, I'll be reviewing some of the finest engineering ever done by man.

I'll be looking at suspensions that define structural support and turn motion into works of art. I'll check out design function in it's finest form on some of the greatest models ever produced. I will concentrate and closely study the beauty of form following function.

I'll pay particular attention to the ride, the fitment and the quality of materials used. I'll closely review the color combinations and look intently at all the styling points.

We all owe Howard Hughes for his original plans and designs that make today possible.

I'd start a picture thread but no cameras allowed.

Thank you Howard wherever you are.

Actually from the engineering standpoint, that would be the strapless evening gown not bikinis.

I thought Howard Hughes designed Jane Russell's push up bra for the movie Outlaw. It was a sensation! And the movie got more viewers than it was probably worth.

Recent gains in support structure were driven by new found material uses. Silicone has played an important part in front suspensions and is being used more and more on rear ones.

These issues of support combined with modern building materials and design help create a new concept in beauty. Like the headlights on a Ferrari, there's still basically only two but the design elements are spectacular.

Because this is product that hasn't seen the public eye, most of the mfg's have closed booths. You can't see what's inside unless you ask and they don't want pics going to their competition. Some stuff you see will never be produced, others will be big business. It depends on the amount of orders they book per style.

There is a lot of competition. Both the mfg's and the buyers are from all over the world. They're very protective of their designs.

So no pics. It's all in my head.
