Ohio, I'm just venting too! I'm having a really bad day. I thought the little story would help, but it didn't. It doesn't tell me to seize the day, but rather to treat people well. Well, I already do that.

Getting away always does a body good (sounds like a scrape to me) and allows you to put things in perspective away from the smell. The ocean always puts me in perspective. Sounds like a bad patch (and it seems you're not alone) but this too shall pass (ask us how we know). We love you big guy! Enjoy your trip.

You had me going there with digging feet in the sand and staring at the water. I used to count waves but I kept losing my place so now I just stare too and watch for dolphins. Once I just watched the moon travel across the night sky long after the beach was deserted. Hope you get lots of "blank mind" time, skinny guy. Hey, I just remembered, it's only Wednesday! Shucks. You can make it, you can make it.

Nice food for thought, red.

Carmen - getting away does help, at least for me. And I must tell you that I call a certain part of the anatomy of a certain guy friend of mine "Big Guy". So I would take that as a compliment!

And BTW...I'm an Aquarian, too. I'll be not too far away from you in New Bern for Thanksgiving. Have fun!

I just read an article on burnout. I am so there it isn't funny.

Granny, thanks for the encouragement. If I can get through these CAT scans ok Friday I will be on my way to releasing some stress. I think I just need to beat the crap out of somebody. Any volunteers?

And it probably knocks you off of your feet. Me too. The only solution I've ever found is to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back in there. Sooner or later, if you stick to it, you'll figure it out.

Stop relying on institutions, organizations and others. Rely on yourself, your family and your close friends. Thats who you've got, and thats who'll stand by you.

I agree with the Wooden Bowl. It will be better tomorrow.
