Windows tinted?
Ok,
I'm so old I've never had tinted windows on any of my cars.
We live in Georgia, so it gets pretty hot.
Now I"m thinking of getting the s2k done. Have any of you had yours tinted?
If so, what do you think? does it help, any problems, any suggestions?
would you do it again?

We had a tint day here in the Northern VA area. It does help, it does look pretty cool, but do you really need tinted windows in a convertable? Here are some pictures:

I had my last three Hondas tinted, but not either S2000. Here in California, it's illegal to have tint on the front side windows. People still do it, of course, but I don't want the cops to have any reason to pull me over.
I like tint. It makes it cooler and I like the look. There are a bunch of choices in the darkness too.

My other car has tinted windows and when I got the S2000, it always feel hotter when I drive in it. Personally, I think it makes the car look better and the film does help somewhat with the heat. There are different levels of darkness and I'd talk to your tint guy before deciding. Good luck.

We tinted ours with fairly light tint. In Florida it's not so much to keep it cool, you'll never win that battle, as it is to keep the interior from fading or becoming sun damaged. We kept it light because driving at night was difficult with a dark tint.

The guy that installed mine used a file to "cut" the tint along the edges of the side windows, rather than using a razor knife. It's very clean looking since there aren't any lines showing and the glass looks like it came tinted from the factory.

Except for the driving at night. I have the dark limo tint on the back and side windows with a strip going across the top of the windshield and I don't have any problems seeing at night. I found that it actually helps me with being able to see when being followed by folks who insist on driving with their high beams on everywhere they go.
