Thumbs up Who's your CELL phone company?

I never cared about this before because I was on my ex husband's business plan and I never saw a bill for my cell phone use. I finally got my own plan last night, a new phone and a new cell phone number, and have learned about the costs of minutes and texting. I kept AT&T since my kids, ex and sweetheart, are all on it, and calls and texts are free to others on AT&T. Then I got to wondering about what company other's are using.

I signed up for the minimum for use outside of AT&T: 450 minutes/month and 100 texts/month, at $39.99 and $9.99, respectively. I know many people have work plans, but if you pay for your own, what do you have?

Verizon.

Where I live and whereI play they are the best choice due to their coverage.

I have no land or digital line, my cell is all I have and it has been this way for 4-years, ever since I bought the house because I just could not see putting in a land line.

Verizon works for me - I had Sprint before and it was a disaster. Lots of dropped calls and lousy coverage. Your plan is very similar to mine, except I don't text.

A T & T/Cingular.

I don't use the cell phone all that often. I've a phone at my desk all day at work... and I do have a land line at home.

I pay $29.99 for 200 "peak minutes" and I forgot how many nights and weekend minutes. I've only gone over a few times on "peak" and that gets expensive, I never use all the weekend minutes and my minutes don't "rollover." I have no text messaging on the plan... I seldom text.

Given my limited use, right now my plan works just fine for me, and the service is good too.

I've heard of that, just using your cell phone for home too. Around here, with the need of cable for TV and the internet, I guess they can make a package deal for those and a home line, and add the cell phone onto the bill too. I'm not in that market yet but I'll see about it when I get my own house.

If not for the need of a fax, we'd do away with our home phone also. It only gets used for faxing about 1-2 times per week. That's on VOIP with Vonage and has worked well.
Why not piggyback your FAX on your DSL line?
