Ladies. I assume your car is good to go, Ms. Granny?

Ours was the best kind of snow. It was enough to keep people in, let kids play, and melted quickly!

Yep, it's good as new and no chips or scratches on the new paint job. Can't wait for the salt to get off the roads. Thanks for remembering. How's our Janet?

Poor Lainey, such a hopeless romantic! But I'm afraid someone left the cake out in the rain a little too long.
I remember MacArthur Park.

I don't think that I can take it,
Cause it took so long to bake it,
And I'll never have the receipe again.

MacArthur Park
Richard Harris

Spring was never waiting for us, girl
It ran one step ahead
As we followed in the dance
Between the parted pages and were pressed
In love's hot, fevered iron
Like a striped pair of pants

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!

I recall the yellow cotton dress
Foaming like a wave
On the ground around your knees
The birds, like tender babies in your hands
And the old men playing checkers by the trees

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!

There will be another song for me
For I will sing it
There will be another dream for me
Someone will bring it
I will drink the wine while it is warm
And never let you catch me looking at the sun
And after all the loves of my life
After all the loves of my life
You'll still be the one

I will take my life into my hands and I will use it
I will win the worship in their eyes and I will lose it
I will have the things that I desire
And my passion flow like rivers through the sky
And after all the loves of my life
After all the loves of my life
I'll be thinking of you
And wondering why

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!
Oh, no
No, no
Oh no!!

Good news about Janet, Skip! And Granny, remember, I was out and about and enjoying myself for 10 years before the +1 took me off the market. And you were a witness to some of it.

Thanks for the encouagement, Perk, and yes, I remember watching and even taking lessons from you. Unfortunately, I'm going on 15 years and I'm still waiting for a guy with a pretty big broom. (as in to sweep me off my feet, Cleatis!)

Thanks Lil' Bro, I knew you'd find the entire song somehow.

Skip, tell Janet I said "Way to go, girlfriend." Hope to see you both again real soon.

Bored and popping in... all!

I got up at 0530 to sled with the kids Sunday. I knew the snow wouldn't be around long. As Deb mentioned, balmy, spring-like weather is back with us. Here are a couple of shots from Sunday.

Backyard:

Love the snow photos, especially this one. Is that a ladder to the left? The snow just packed it in there.

I took this one on from our deck on Monday night, when the full moon rose.
