I've been to a lot of places in my life and after a while, they all seem the same. Have any of you ever been to a "life changing" place. And I mean "life changing" in a good way.

Sounds good Matt. What language do they speak?

The only place I've ever been to that's had that kind of effect on me was college, but I'm not sure thats what you mean.

I have spent a few days in a Caye off Belize and it was wonderful. It was all english speaking but it was maybe two acres in size so that doesn't mean much.
One place we have been to many times and always like going back is the Cayman Islands. (Grand Cayman) It has great food, great people, solitude if you want it, good fishing, diving and snorkeling. It also, in my opinion, has the best beaches and water anywhere, (of the ones I have seen) and I have seen lots of beaches worldwide.

I have not been to life changing places but the places I do go and like to go back to don't all the seem the same. I like to go see natural beauty like Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Monument Valley, the Colorado River, Hawaii. Not only do I find them not all the same, most of them change themselves a lot, just betweeen the seasons. That's good enough for me.
Where do you go, Bill, that you feel this way?

Belize used to be known as British Honduras, so virtually everyone speaks English. The exchange rate is $1 USD equals $2 Belize so most every where accepts the "green back" at a 2:1 ratio.
The snorkeling and diving is the best along the second largest barrier reef on earth (the largest in the western hemisphere) where the visibility is often sixty to eighty feet. Caye Caulker is about twelve miles off the coast, NE of Belize City and is about four miles long and a half a mile wide. The Trends Beach Hotel is the place to stay. An ocean front room will set one back about $25.00 USD per night. Not fancy, but clean with a great host.

I love snorkling. Haven't done it in about 4 years.

I went to Europe with my mom when I was 19. I'm not into cities so it didn't do any thing for me. I did like Switzerland for it's beauty though.
California has such variety in natural beauty. I could never get tired of the different places here.
