No, Neptune as in the Roman god of the sea. She's being buried at sea.

Does that mean you are in the Uranus Society?
To hear my dear mother tell it, I am in a class all my own. And, somehow, I don't think she says that out of any sense of pride.

The comedians are out there today!

We've gone from health insurance to funeral arrangements! Kick that bucket!! That's one way to save $$ on health insurance premiums.

I am quite certain my insurance company lost money on me in 2009 and 2010. I am going to do my best to give them a break this year. They deserve a break.

It's good to have options. +1 and I both work for small businesses. It's either a single plan or a family plan. Thankfully, we are both still employed and each get that single plan, as mentioned.

We are both on Medicare (is that officially Obamacare, yet?). I just went on in November and the wifely unit started Tuesday so we don't know how it all works yet.

Our supplement is BCBS through the Ford/UAW benefits trust. Our deductible and co-pays went up first of the year so we have not yet found all of the surprises in that.

We also had increases when UAW took over administering the Ford benefits program. Prescription co-pays went up 300% on generics and 500% on name brands.

I am humbled that you posted this POLL on the very date that I began my lifetime of Medicare coverage, along with Medigap Plan "F" and a nice cheap Rx plan.

Don't get mad.....it still costs me about 315/month + another 76 for basic dental insurance (for two of us)

So, should I be posting a birthday smiley here?

Enjoy the government coverage.

nope, Lainey...actual bday not until the end of month

Uncle Sam makes your Medicare (and SS benefits when applicable....not yet for me) effective the FIRST of the month when you turn 65, or whatever age you apply for SS, IIRC
